MY PERSONAL EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY

I believe that every student who enrolls in, and completes, an introductory level biological sciences course must acquire a basic working knowledge of the vocabulary of biological sciences, and in particular, of cell biology. Every lecture course I teach includes obligatory sections on macromolecules and cell biology with heavy emphasis on the structure and function of nucleic acids and proteins, including the replication of DNA and the synthesis of proteins.  To understand how a single cell functions is to understand how any multicellular body functions whether a plant, an animal, or a human being.  Any student who enrolls in a course that I teach must be willing to learn some basic chemical, remembering that chemistry is not a pre-requisite for any of the above courses, so a working knowledge of chemistry is not required.  So long as a student has a sufficient reading knowledge for college-level work and so long as the student is willing to put the time into study outside of the classroom, I can practically guarantee that He/She will earn a passing grade in any course that I teach.
