Pacific Island Peoples
ANTH.135 - Web Course
ANTH.135
- The Pacific Island Peoples Web Course is about
the ancient and modern peoples who lived
in the great culture areas of Polynesia, Micronesia and Melanesia. This
is the first course in social science for many students. You can earn
three credits in the Social Sciences towards your college degree.
ANTH.135 transfers to most
U. of Hawaii campuses as a three credit elective course.
This course fulfills part of Honolulu Community College's
Social Science Core Requirements.
PLEASE NOTE: ANTH.135 does NOT earn
H-Focus credit at the HCC campus or at UH Manoa
or other UH campuses.
This Web Course gives all the Lessons to you at home via your
own internet computer, or you may use computers on the internet from
almost anywhere in the world. You only need to come to a UH campus to
take three tests. You can contact the
instructor for help via the internet and by phone, email, fax and visit
in person if you wish. Written assignments are turned in by email and
by posting to the web. The course uses the UH LAULIMA internet system.
UH
testing centers are available at the Community Colleges on the Neighbor
Islands for the three tests.
In this course you will explore the cultures of some of the many
