Discovering Your Learning Style
(last update Mon, Mar 8, 2004)
Your learning style is the way in which you learn most easily and efficiently. People do not all learn in the same way. Many students learn primarily visually, auditorily, kinesthetically, and through "hands-on" activities rather than through more "passive" modes such as reading and listening to lectures. These are preferred modes of learning.

Your learning style, however, i s a psychological preference for dealing with knowledge. Your learning style is part of your personality and though it may change while you are still a child, by adulthood it is usually fairly fixed. Knowing your personality/learning style can help you in finding the most effective methods of studying for you. This information can also help your teacher in attempting to meet you halfway in the methods she or he uses in presenting material.
