Story
As posted on the main page, Star Ocean III will take place in the future. About 400 years has
past since Star Ocean II and the year is now 722 S.D. (space date) or 2859 in earth date. The
story will totally be different from Star Ocean II. This game focuses on the protaganist,
Fate Lingold, who is on a vacation in a space facilty with his parents and his childhood
friend, Sophia Esteed. Fate's parents were planning to take Fate and Sophia into space until
some unknown force suprisingly attacks their planet for some unknown reason. The four of
them quickly attempt to escape only to discover that the invaders are already there,
waiting for them. With luck, only Fate and Sophia managed to escape, while Fate's parents is
nowhere to be found. Now it's up to Fate and Sophia to find out who attacked Fate's
parents and to avenge them. Along the way, Fate and Sophia meet many people who are willing
to help them with their cause. The people Fate and Sophia will first meet a dancer
(Souffle Rossetti) who helps them out a lot. They will also meet an alien named Cliff Fitter,
who has superhuman strength and a spy named Nell Zelpher who also help Fate and his allies.
