Memos should not exceed one page in length; letters should rarely exceed one page in length. Individual reports (with or without collaboration), including the stock report, should not exceed two pages. The report or proposal should be at least five pages and have a minimum of three outside sources. The oral "defense" of your report or proposal should be a minimum of five minutes.

There is no excuse for late papers. In an emergency, assignments may be e-mailed to me, as a straight e-mail or as an attachment. Most importantly, you need to keep in close touch with me. I am not a mind reader, so if you are having problems, you need to let me know.

The syllabus may be modified at the discretion of the instructor. In order to know of any changes, you must be present at all classes, or obtain phone numbers/e-mail addresses of several classmates in case of emergency.

Students carrying pagers and/or cellular phones will make sure that such devices are on "pulse" or silent mode before entering the classroom.
